KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

There's no other wilderness area in Africa as accessible as the Kruger. The roads are good, and it's affordable, especially if you camp, stay in a basic unit or visit during low season. There are animals everywhere and the park remains refreshingly wild.

DO THIS: Go for a guided morning walk - you can do this from most of the main camps in the park: R650 p.p. (Also turn to page 70 for more wild things to do in the park.)

Daily conservation fee: R115 per adult; R57 per child aged 2 — 11; free with a Wild card.

ACCOMMODATION: The accommodation options and prices differ from camp to camp, but in general, you can expect to pay these 2023 highseason rates, or more.

The main rest camps are Berg-en-Dal, Crocodile Bridge, Letaba, Lower Sabie, Mopani, Olifants, Orpen, Pretoriuskop, Punda Maria, Satara, Shingwedzi and Skukuza. Camping (with power) from R410 p.n. for two people; R104 per
