I started my journey this morning in the eastern Free State. The tar road between Rosendal and Senekal was a challenge - it was as “holey” as a piece of cheese in a comic book and I had to concentrate hard to keep the Mahindra’s wheels from hitting a pothole.
At Ventersburg I got onto the N1 and headed north, threading my way through Joburg, Midrand and Pretoria before rush hour. Not that it really mattered,
