MOONAGE DAYDREAM

A hallucinogenic exploration of the life and career of David Bowie

Certificate: 15 Director: Brett Morgen Cast: David Bowie (self) Released: 2022 (out now on Netflix)

In 2016, the world lost David Bowie. Musician, actor and even painter, he had a seismic effect on 20th century popular culture through his ever-evolving contributions.2022 the 'definitive' documentary was released to rave reviews and almost universal acclaim. Now having landed on Netflix in the UK, any of us who missed its relatively short run in cinemas can finally see what all the fuss is about. A trippy look at the rock legend's career, the film is the work of Brett Morgen, who previously helmed another rock-star documentary, in 2015. However, perhaps 'visual montage’ is a better term to describe this unique look at the one and only David Bowie.
