French baker Manon Lagrève shot to fame on The Great British Bake Off in 2018, even though she didn’t win. Yet her passion for baking was evident for all to see.
Raised on a farm in Brittany, Manon learnt to cook watching her grandmothers and mother make meals from scratch. “All those moments, preparing, sharing, talking and arguing about food, is simply love,” she says.
“I am lucky to still have both my Mamies! They are 85 and 81, and still baking. It is a real privilege to be able to share some of their cake recipes in Et Voilà! and for them to see it printed.”
Et Voilà! A Simple French Baking Love Story is Manon’s debut cookbook, a collection of French classic sweet treats, simplified or with a twist.
Manon, who for the past four years has been sharing her baking creations online and on social platforms, lives in London with her husband Luke and their daughter Fleur, who will be two in June.
