Final Fantasy has been moving away from the old turn-based role-playing battles for some time, as seen by FF7 Remake and even the last mainline entry. But it’s still not quite shaken off the classic command menus or timed gauges.
So there’s something very exciting about seeing fully embrace lightning-fast and crunchy real-time combat as if you were playing . Not that weseries as well as the cult classic .
