New crime busters fit for duty?

Gauteng’s new crime prevention wardens are fit and agile enough to protect its citizens from hardened criminals, the province’s citizens have been assured.

“We would like to reassure Gauteng communities that the wardens have undergone intensive training to ensure that they can perform their duties effectively and efficiently,” said Hlulani Mashaba, spokesperson for the Gauteng Department of Community Safety.

The department had to reassure Gauteng citizens that their newly appointed crime prevention wardens are capable of keeping the province safe after the department came under intense scrutiny this week.
