LOCAL hero Mea Motu, 16-0 (6), claimed a unanimous 10-round decision over Canadian , 4-2. Motu’s strength and aggression saw her build a good lead before Walters came into the fight over the second half. Motu was rocked with a left hook in the ninth, but the favourite weathered that storm and finished strongly to take the victory on scores of 99-91, 98-92 and 96-94.
