Back when he was living in San Diego, James Eberhardt meticulously decorated in the primitive country style he favors. After he moved to Arizona to be closer to family, he sought to replicate the warm, nostalgic ambience that he had come to know and appreciate over the years.
The type of houses James and his husband, Khristopher Eberhardt, found in the Grand Canyon State left a lot to the imagination, however. Their stucco-clad ranch, built in 2013, is in a master-planned community in Goodyear, Arizona, where all the residences are similar and governed by the restrictions of a
