Help! He’s in pain during sex

Q I’m worried about my husband’s health. A few weeks ago, he said that he felt uncomfortable while we were having sex, but he kept going and we had a great time as usual. Then the following morning he was in real pain, to the point where his penis ached if he wore his tight trousers. The pain has eased a bit, but it still hurts if we try to have intercourse. Could this be something serious?
