Foxfield to celebrate ‘made in Stoke’

THE Foxfield Railway’s September 3/4 ‘Made in Stoke’ gala promises an exciting lineup, celebrating both the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) and Kerr, Stuart of Stoke-on-Trent.

Having been fitted with vacuum brake equipment, Kerr, Stuart 6wDM Rom River (4421/1929) is due to haul its inaugural passenger train (see picture p24) – the railway’s Knotty Heritage Train.

The event will also mark the return to traffic of Kerr, Stuart ‘Witch’ 0-4-0ST (4388/1926),
