Hastings set for KESR return after cylinder repairs

FORMER Sproxton ironstone quarry Hunslet 0-6-0ST Hastings (469/1888) is set to return to the Kent & East Sussex Railway (KESR) in the coming weeks, for final commissioning once repairs are complete at the premises of a Buckinghamshire contractor.

After moving from the Chasewater Railway to the KESR on May 20, Hastings completed a number of light engine test trips, followed by hauling five vintage carriages.
