AS IN LOVE AS EVER AHEAD OF THEIR ANNIVERSARY THE PRINCE AND PRINCESS OF WALES ENJOY A DAY OF FUN AND LAUGHTER IN BIRMINGHAM

It’s not every day that the future King books you a table for lunch.

But that’s what happened last week when the Prince of Wales answered the phone to an unsuspecting customer as he and the Princess visited The Indian Streatery in Birmingham.

Prince William had Kate and his hosts in stitches as he checked the caller’s name, gave directions and asked what time they wanted to turn up. But he had to tell him that they could not come straight away because the restaurant had visitors.

“Do we have a seat for two right now?” William asked Meena Sharma, head chef and co-owner with her husband Rakesh. “Half past two?” he suggested to the caller. “Does that work for you? No, apparently not right now.
