What's in a name…

Marion Rudner of Cape Town writes Aren’t magazines fantastic the way they get people and places connected! I was so excited to see the recently renovated ‘Svenskbo’ on page 38 of your February/ March 2023 issue. The homeowner, Pieter Hoffman, wanted to know where the name of the house came from and so I decided to share this with you.

The property was bought by my ceilings, putting in the old woodstove and painting the bullnose front roof with the characteristic stripes that still draw one’s attention today.
