Singers shame

No doubt you will have many letters bemoaning the terrible decision to axe the BBC Singers later this year. I pulled out my BBC Music Magazine CD from Volume III Number 1 (from 1994) which was a glorious 67 minutes called ‘A 70th Anniversary Celebration’, and listened again to some wonderful sounds. How cruel then to close this choir just before their centenary. It would have been an opportunity for some extra special performances and recordings, which we will now miss. Shame on you, BBC.
