PROJECT RELIANT REGAL 3/25 DE-LUXE
As you can see, we are now on the home straight with our Regal project. It is all back together, trimmed on the inside and road legal. Getting from 90% finished to 99% finished always seems to take longer than you expect (projects are never 100% finished!), and on three separate occasions I went down to the workshop wondering if this would be the day that I had my first drive, only to head home disappointed. Well not really disappointed because each time we had made good progress, but I’m sure you know what I mean.
The thing is, I really didn’t want to rush these final few steps because I know that once I get the Regal back on the road, then I will be much more interested in driving it than in finishing off the last few jobs. Much better in my case to remain patient and to investigate each thing that doesn’t seem quite right before heading out of the doors and down the road. So, for example, when I wasn’t happy with the way the gearstick was secured, I refused to move on until it was sorted to my satisfaction.
