Money-saving ideas for old rope

I write in response to the editor’s call for ideas. Wondering what to do with all the old rope from the project boat? Strip the grotty outer and turn inner into sail ties with a Brummell eye splice. This sets you up to replace old steel standing and running rigging with Dyneema. Making long eyes even eliminates shackles.
