Crocuses find the gap
THE earliest flower to appear in my garden is the crocus, they pop up all over the place.
Last summer, after pruning our cherry tree, we made a log pile with thedormant bulbs in this spot, but as you can see, they pushed through the pile of logs to open in the warm sunshine. This is great to see, and it demonstrates that plants just want to grow and survive – no matter how careless the gardener!
