RABBITS
Pattern of behaviour
Do you think camouflage suits help you stalk rabbits? I am trying to get closer to them with my air rifle, but they run off before I can get within range of them.
Ed says: I’ve never been convinced that camouflage makes the slightest difference. Rabbits respond to movement more than pretty patterns. It’s certainly no replacement for fieldcraft, which uses slow movement and patience. If you want to get that close, it would be good to find places where the rabbits haven’t been shot at, especially by larger rifles. It will be difficult to get near your quarry if they are more alert.
LEGAL
Land a certificate
I want to shoot as part of a syndicate that has no land of its own. Will this make it more difficult for me to get a shotgun certificate?
It shouldn’t. Game shooting is a good reason for having a shotgun
