In her hit song, Cyndi Lauper reminded us that “girls just want to have fun.” Kids just want to have fun, too. In fact, they need to have fun — to run, exercise, play and do everything else that goes along with being young.
For that reason, “fun, fitness and self-defense” is a theme my dojo uses on signs, in brochures and on webpages. It’s worked well over the years because here we are, continuing to attract new students while retaining others consistently.
In this column, I will focus on fun and games for kids and teens. (Adults usually like them, too.) Some of the games require specific instructions while others do not.
