Drunk, Driving, and 17

MOVIE PREMIERE 8/7c, Lifetime

One poor decision after another—from one person after another—snowballs into tragedy in this story of a drunken driving accident after a high school party. Michael Michele (above) is the mom who hesitatingly allows her son, Dan (Antonio Davis), to celebrate his acceptance at Stanford by having friends over under parental supervision. (“We’ve done it for [our son], and nothing bad’s ever happened,” another mother reassures her.) Dan avoids having an actual breakup conversation with girlfriend Kim (Savannah Lee Smith, above left) and instead acts like a jerk. She copes by hitting the keg, even though she’s always been responsible and often acts as a designated driver. Then Kim flees, taking her hosts’ car—and crashes into a classmate on the road. You’ll be surprised at some of the repercussions.
