Hydraulic malfunction

Regular readers may remember me changing the hydraulic pump on my pre-Implematic David Brown 950, some time ago. The replacement pump had been on the shelf for a while, having been purchased from Ron Greet in 2014, when I was in Devon on a short break.

Since being fitted, the hydraulics have functioned very well and performed as they should. However, on a recent occasion, I mounted a Howard E Series rotavator to the 950 to move it to a new location. The tractor coped easily with lifting the implement and was driven to a more convenient spot and parked up ready for the rotavator to be removed, prior to carrying out some restoration work on it.
