SAVING SEA TURTLES

We are a 25-year-old marine conservation project based in Watamu in Kilifi County which uses sea turtles as a flagship indicator species to measure and improve ocean health. The ocean, its health and the natural marine environment connect us to the local community. Working at grassroots level, through collaboration and education, we seek to bring about behavioural changes that result in communities protecting turtles and ocean habitats, based on their own social, economic and cultural interests and values.
