Top notch!

Just responding to David Foster’s ’Spang letter (AMCN Vol 72 No 17) and, judging by the current condition of my nearly 30-year-old Gassit T-shirt, it’s definitely time for some more.

I can barely read the words on it as the white paint is flaking off after hundreds of rinse cycles and a few hundred thousand kilometres under motorcycle touring gear and (sometimes) race leathers since 1994.

My beloved red ’Spang tee even accompanied me under serious mountain hiking gear to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro in February 2019. We had to wear lots of layers, as Kili is almost 6000m high, but only 300km from the equator, so it can go from -10ºC to 23ºC in the same day.
