Big boys, little toys

Grown adults have been riding kid's bikes for decades now, it's not exactly anything new. Around ten to fifteen years ago the craze really went wild with races being held all over the country. We were even crowning State and Australian Champions with our top pitbike riders even heading overseas to race on the big stage in the US.

Supercross events had halftime pitbike races and even expression sessions where riders would jump ramps and perform tricks for the crowds on pitbikes. Several businesses kicked off specialising in pitbike parts and would even build pitbikes for customers that could cost in excess of twenty to thirty thousand dollars. It was big business and the market was demanding. Fast 50 magazines were a thing and so were dedicated pitbike websites.

Originally it all started out with the Honda Z50 and progressed into the CRF50 before other brands
