Try before you buy

Whether you are a first-timer or an experienced motorhome thinking of changing to a new model or a new layout, it's a good idea to hire a motorhome before you commit.

If you're close to deciding but just want to be sure the layout or model is right for you, investigate try-before-youbuy schemes. Some dealers and campervan converters offer these and often the cost of the hire is discounted from the price you pay if you go on to buy.

When hiring, always check the basics such as the model you're hiring has enough seatbelts and berths for everyone. Think about where the beds are, too – if children are going to sleep in the lounge (or in a drop-down bed that descends into it), where are you going to go when you tuck them up for the night? Ifadditional fee – or will you bring them from home?).
