CLASSIC Cover AmeriCARna 2023 was another huge success, like all the previous 15 events. The 2023 event was, for some, known as the 202? event as due to COVID restrictions, 2022 didn't happen. But that didn't deter the 900 entrants who attended. Sadly, 60 south island entrants could not participate because the Inter Islander Ferry boats could not sail. That resulted in them being stranded in Picton. Along with the extreme weather in Auckland, the East Coast and Hawkes Bay, many others could not make the journey due to flood damage to the respective regions.
