Having it all

Australia used to rank as one of the countries with the largest homes, usually coming in right after the United States. The average size of a new home has been steadily falling over the past few years as smaller lots become more commonplace. Lots of limited size, which includes narrow blocks of land, can be found in and around many city areas as well as in suburban sub-divisions. The demand for more compact homes across a range of architectural styles is so high that leading volume home builders all now have designs specifically developed to maximise space on small lots.
