Are Australian Modellers Detail snobs?

Over the years Australian Modellers have been provided with mass produced models with ever increasing detail. Sometimes to get more detail manufacturers have gone to the gimmick level of detail. In the UK it seems most prevalent with the Dapol class 59 diesel in OO being released in 2022 with sprung opening cab doors, something that was first tried in the North American market well
