TE WHARA TRACK:
The Te Whara track in the Whangārei Heads in Northland is a popular day walk that offers a mix of bush, beach, and stunning views. The track is one-way and requires a decent level of fitness – it includes a steep hike with plenty of stairs. The top of the track offers panoramic coastal views and follows the ancient footprints of Manaia, a principal wife of a Rangatira, and her story associated with the area.
