Jo started with one allotment and was then offered a neighbouring plot. A year later she got the opportunity to rent a field so is in the process of starting again.

Why did you start growing your own produce?

I've always been interested in growing veg. My dad had an allotment while I was growing up and raced pigeons. Then when I hit the teenage years I was too busy. It wasn't until I had my own children that I got back into gardening and then fell into growing my own veg.
