Christopher McDougall is one of the best-known amateur runners on the planet. In the English-speaking world, you might argue he is the best known. Author of the 2009 book Born to Run, which has now sold over three million copies, he has encouraged huge swathes of amateurs to adopt minimalist running shoes.

Now McDougall has a new book out, this time dedicated to running training. Co-authored with running coach Eric Orton, Born to Run 2: The Ultimate Training Guide encourages runners of all styles and all levels to take on a 90-day programme designed to get them running faster, further and injury-free.
