As a kid, I always had mixed feelings about Easter.
First there was the weather: When I was growing up in the Northeast, early April rarely delivered the sunny, flower-filled setting of picture books. Plus, for my brother, my sister and me, love was the time we spent with family at my grandparents’ home, sitting around the dining room table catching up with cousins, aunts and uncles while Grandpa carved the ham (hopefully saving a crispy outside piece for me!). Reflecting on those holidays always makes me smile, wishing I could go back and bottle up that warm feeling.
