CLAY WORKS STUDIOS

We have had a busy time at the studio over the past couple of months. With our regular weekly classes, open access days, specialist and one-off workshops all running alongside Abbie and Lauren, both making for exhibitions, the place feels pretty thriving.

Apart from my regular duties, the things that have been keeping me busy have been developing the programme for a new decorating course and coordinating the collection of a new (second-hand) kiln.

Several times in the past year, we have been asked about the possibility of running a series of workshops focused specifically on ceramic surface decoration. In the past, I have been invited to run workshops such as this at other studios, but these have always been run over two consecutive days, not allowing the opportunity to work with clay in its various states.
