Premier League sides Southampton and Leeds United both appointed new Spanish managers, with RUBEN SELLES taking the Saints job and ex-Watford boss JAVI GRACIA arriving at Elland Road.

In the Football League, NEIL WARNOCK came out of retirement to take charge of Huddersfield Town. Elsewhere, GARETH AINSWORTH left Wycombe Wanderers to take over at QPR, with MATT BLOOMFIELD replacing him at Adams Park.

In Scotland, STUART KETTLEWELL was named Motherwell manager after the sacking of Steven Hammell, and replaced Liam Fox at Dundee United.
