SPRING MEADOWS

This miniature quilt uses shadow appliqué to capture the essence of spring and can easily be adapted to represent any picture or scene that is special to you.

BEHIND THE QUILT

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAIL

“This miniature quilt project uses shadow appliqué; shapes are glued in place, a transparent fabric is layed over the top and the design is quilted. This is a quick and easy technique that enables you to produce a small-scale design without having to fuse or appliqué each shape individually. The glue holds the pieces in position, the net ensures the design is secure and the quilting fixes it all in place. It’s a great way to use up small pieces of fabric you may have left over from other projects too!” – Julia Gahagan
