RACK OF LAMB Remember Ryan Lamb, the accomplished Premiership fly-half? He’s now head coach at Plymouth Albion after the seventh-placed National One club parted company by mutual consent with Damian Welch.
Lamb made 164 appearances, scoring 1,020 points, for five sides from 2006-17. He played 58 times for Gloucester before moving on to London Irish, Northampton, Leicester and Worcester. He was also with La Rochelle and Scarlets.
CHIN UP Chinnor also pulled off a mid-season coup by recruiting Nick Easter, 44, the former Harlequins No 8, as the club’s DoR. He gained 54 caps for England and was coaching at Worcester before the club ceased to exist. Chinnor had only three victories in 12 games when the appointment was made.
“I’m also helping with the forwards and defence,” Easter said. “It’s tremendous to come to a club that has all age grades and minis as well.”
