YOUNG CHAIR Bolton, of C1 Lancs & Cheshire, reckon Josh Dickens, 16, their mini-junior chair, could be the youngest official in any English club section. Mark Brocklehurst, their executive chair, said: “We’ve almost 300 players ranging from six to 18 but until recently had no one on the board under 30. We looked around and Josh’s name kept cropping up.”
Dickens, a senior colt and student at Bolton School, said: “I want to make a difference and hope to change the way the junior section works for the better.”
