First-time Fife exhibitor and the show manager take top awards

YORKSHIRE FIFE & GLOSTER CC

NOVICE Yorkshire canary exhibitor Russell Sykes, who has started breeding and exhibiting Fife canaries, entered his first show. He won best Fife with his 10 per cent variegated buff hen and beat a Fife entry of 688. The club’s show manager, Dave Rands of the Goddard & Rands partnership, took the best Gloster award with their unflighted (UF) buff corona hen. This bird beat a Gloster entry of 304 at the club’s seventh annual show held at Gilberdyke Village Hall.
