Setting up devices in the Home app

The HomeKit software is built into macOS, iOS, T iPadOS and even tvOS on the Apple TV. However, you control your HomeKit-compatible lights and other devices using the Home app, which is primarily focused on iPhone and iPad. There are versions of the app on Mac and Apple TV as well, but these don’t allow you to add new HomeKit devices.
