Alesis Elevate 5 MKII
The Elevate 5 is a combination of active and passive speaker. The power amplifier of the 2-way monitors with 2 x 40 watts is completely sufficient for near-field applications in small studios. However, lovers of deep bass will not be able to get around a subwoofer. The mids are a bit underemphasized compared to the basses and the clear trebles. The depth and width of the sound image is decent. Due to the compact format and the affordable pair price, the nearfield monitors are particularly suitable for smaller desktop and bedroom studios, but also work as a second monitor in larger studios.
