WHEN WE FINALLY FINISHED THIS BIKE AND GOT IT INTO THE STUDIO, IT WAS A SPECIAL MOMENT

This 1994 CR125 came into Garage 11 with the brief that we needed to restore it to as close to OEM as possible. This is always a challenge as finding a lot of these parts for a bike that is 27 years old is a big ask, so we set out to find as much as we could that we knew was missing or had been replaced with aftermarket stuff that didn't fit the OEM aesthetic. Restoring bikes with the notion of using nothing but OEM parts is romantic and a wonderful concept, but for 95 per cent of restoration projects it isn't practical, can take years to achieve and is a huge financial commitment.

So with all this in mind, we set about stripping the bike
