Shedding the pounds is hard and keeping it off is even harder. Bariatric surgery works well, but the cost, acceptability and availability all limit use. A new injectable drug – LY3437943 – which combines gut hormones that stimulate insulin production, looks promising in controlling cholesterols, glucose and weight – but a racing pulse rate is a side effect.
