SATURDAY FEBRUARY 25

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS

We have ignition

TVNZ 2, 7.30pm

The original cheap-thrill petrolhead action film, which somehow sparked a franchise that’s since taken in US$6 billion at the global box office. Not bad for a modestly budgeted, star-free street-racer rehash of Point Break, the 1991 film about surfer dude bank robbers and the undercover cop in their midst who becomes one of the gang. (2001)

SEX AND THE CITY 2

Down at heel

Eden, 8.30pm
