Not so wild about rewilding

As a longstanding subscriber to BBC Gardeners World Magazine I always like reading Alan’s Tales from Titchmarsh, but his February article was right on the mark.

Gardeners do intervene. Without intervention we would be on a slippery slope to ruin. I feel cheated when I visit gardens that hide behind the banner of ’rewilding’ and I suspect that the real reason in many cases is to protect budgets. It is certainly not demonstrating a range of horticultural skill and plantsmanship.
