Handcraft with care

Follow these guidelines when making your own herbal bodycare products.

● Use fresh herbs whenever possible. When substituting dried plant material for fresh, use one-third to one-half of the quantity.

● Harvest organically grown or unsprayed plant materials from your garden or buy from a local grower.

● Make herbal products in nonmetal sterilised containers, such as glass or ceramic, which won’t react with the ingredients. Use non-breakable containers for bath and shower products.

● Make a small quantity of a garden-fresh concoction. Store unused portions in the refrigerator and use within one week.
