End game

I was fortunate to be invited to join Adam Cope and a mixture of his friends, helpers and their families for what he calls his keeper’s clear-up day. I was particularly pleased as I love the final days of the season when all bets are off as to what the bag will be and everybody seems to relax and arrive with few expectations.

You also only get the truly dedicated and passionate shooters out on these days because there is a very real chance that you won’t get a shot or see too many birds. Everybody is there for the love of shooting and not only to pull the trigger. It’s better if you do get a few shots, but it certainly won’t
