When the stars align

May has been a slow month for pigeons, unless you’re lucky enough to have peas to shoot over. There are still a few patches of rape but the flock has moved on to pastures new and easier pickings.

So I find myself waiting to see if we have any storms that will provide some laid corn to tempt the birds back. I also find myself trawling through my memory thinking about some of my favourite days in the hide. I hazard that for most shooters breaking the 100 mark
