‘I’m proud that I kept going. There’s no part of me that thinks I could have done anything differently’

When Captain Preet Chandi was taking shelter in her tent from the biting winds blowing across the icy plains of Antarctica, she would dream of what she’d do when she got home to Derby.

“It would be really simple things, like going to Nandos or sitting on the sofa with my family,” she tells HELLO! in our exclusive interview. “And I really wanted some paratha [Indian flatbread], which my mum luckily brought to the airport.”
