HOME CINEMA PROJECTOR
As the last stage of a home entertainment chain, home projectors are a little like loudspeakers, turning an electrical signal into something you can perceive. So you need a source as well: a Blu-ray player or a digital TV receiver or some such, to provide that electrical signal.

Build & features
We’ll get to Android TV shortly, but first let us describe this unit. It is smallish and clearly designed for ease of set-up and use. Frightened of lamp replacement costs? The brochure notes that the lamp should be good for 15 years if you watch one typical movie a day in Eco mode. The mechanical lens controls are on the top and work smoothly. Inside are three 15.5mm LCD panels with 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution. These are enhanced with Epson’s ‘4K PRO-UHD’ pixel-hifting technology.
The front of the projector provides advanced optical control. The zoom range is 1.62:1 and vertical lens shift is provided, allowing distortion-free alignment of the picture with the screen. There’s also a slider
