The rooms of the ground floor wrap around this outside space, which works as another living area. Homeowner Glenn made the chair using recycled timber and he repurposed an old wheelbarrow as a planter. The herringbone paving is made from recycled bricks.

THE OWNER

This house was built by its owner, Glenn Lamont, an urban economist and co-founder (with his brother Justin) of LifeSpaceJourney, a Melbourne-based furniture design and manufacture practice. He lives here with wife Anthea, and children Jasmine, four, and Harley, two.
